• ”Gustave Willems” Award 1998 given by the International Navigation Association (PIANC) to the best project conducted by young professionals in the field of Maritime and Port activities , for the project entitled “Determining the horizontal dimensions of ship manoeuvring areas. General recommendations and simulator studies”.

• “Modesto Vigueras” Award 1997 given by the Spanish Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC) for the project entitled “Determining the horizontal dimensions of ship manoeuvring areas. General recommendations and simulator studies”.
