Siport21 expands its Real Time Bridge Simulator

Siport21 has improved its simulation systems in order to offer to their customers better services and to open new business areas.

First of all, the company moved to a new office, where it installed the Real Time Bridge Simulator. It involves a main bridge with complete instruments and a 260º wide screen and 12 meters of diameter. Also, the simulator software has been upgraded to a new model version, Mermaid 500 from Marin (Holand).

In addition, Siport21 has changed the Desktop Simulator to equip it with eight visual channels. Two of them are used to control the simulation by the instructor and one more is used to provide an aerial vision to the simulation. Moreover, it has destinated an area to install two desktop simulators with virtual instrumentation. So, Siport21 offers excellent facilities for studying ships behaviour at the same time or introducing tugs action in the study.

Over ten years of history and more than 400 reports, Siport21 has conducted nearly 400 studies of ship manoeuvring simulation, various training courses and port design projects, ranking as a reference in this field. The company has participated in the extension of the ports of Barcelona, Bilbao, Gijón, La Coruña, Algeciras, Cartagena and Valencia. It has a world wide presence in Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Albania, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania and the Persian Gulf, among others.

Siport21′s office staff involves highly qualified technicians, pioneers in Spain in such studies and the use of simulation tools and methods.
