Siport21 upgrades its Real Time Bridge Simulator software

Siport21 has upgraded Mermaid 500 (MARIN) software of its Real Time Bridge Simulator to rev. 12. This action adds more realism to visual models which are used in the Real Time Bridge Simulator and it improves the final quality of the projects and the immersion of Captains and Pilots as if they were in their real job position.

The first improvement is the ocean water surface adding more realism. It is also possible to see the ocean water reflect light of Sun and Moon. Foam is added to the waves. The bow spray is back and much improved.

The second improvement has to do with weather condition, type of clouds, rain, hail and the corresponding influence on sea surface (colour and reflection). Sun, Moon and stars are in the right position depending on place on Earth and time of day.     Finally, the foam streaks on waves depending on wind and following current flows.

Siport21 offers the best advanced methods and simulation tools for the development of ship manoeuvring studies and ship behaviour, maritime safety projects, analysis of floating structures and training programs for Merchant Marine Staff.
